Product Safety Notice

Your safety is the foundation of everything we do at Helmorra. Driving with a helmet is not just a legal requirement in many states—it is a life-saving habit. Please read these safety guidelines carefully to ensure maximum protection.

1. Certification Standards

Every helmet offered by Helmorra is engineered to meet or exceed U.S. DOT (Department of Transportation) FMVSS 218 safety standards.

  • Look for the DOT symbol on the back of your helmet to ensure compliance.
  • Note: No helmet can provide 100% protection against all foreseeable impacts, but wearing a certified helmet significantly reduces the risk of severe head injury.

2. Finding the Perfect Fit

A helmet that doesn't fit correctly cannot protect you effectively.

  • Snug Fit: The helmet should feel snug around your entire head and cheeks without causing "hot spots" or pain.
  • No Movement: If the helmet shifts when you shake your head, it is too large.
  • The Strap Test: Always fasten the chin strap securely. You should be able to fit only two fingers between the strap and your chin.

3. The "One-Impact" Rule

Helmets are designed to absorb energy by partially destroying their internal structure (the EPS liner).

  • Replace Immediately: If you are involved in any accident or if the helmet is dropped onto a hard surface from a height, it must be replaced immediately, even if the shell looks perfect.
  • Hidden Damage: Internal stress fractures are often invisible to the naked eye but will fail to protect you in a second impact.

4. Maintenance & Lifespan

  • Lifespan: We recommend replacing your Helmorra helmet every 3 to 5 years. Over time, UV rays, cleaning chemicals, and natural aging of the foam reduce its protective capacity.
  • Cleaning: Use only mild soap and lukewarm water. Harsh chemicals, petroleum-based cleaners, or solvents can weaken the shell and ruin the inner liner.
  • Storage: Keep your helmet in a cool, dry place. Avoid leaving it in a hot car or near gasoline/fumes.

5. Important Warnings

  • Do Not Modify: Never drill holes, paint with non-approved paints, or cut the shell/liner. Modifications void the warranty and compromise your safety.
  • Intended Use: Use the helmet only for its designated purpose (e.g., motorcycle, scooter, or bicycle).
  • Ride Responsibly: A helmet is only one part of your safety gear. We strongly encourage wearing gloves, jackets, and boots, and always following local traffic laws.

6. Contact for Safety Support

If you are unsure about the fit of your helmet or notice any structural concerns, please do not ride with it. Contact our safety team immediately:
